We are in final preparation for our Chromebook 1:1 deployment.  We are excited to offer this opportunity to our students this year.

Chromebooks for Education: For Every Student


 Facts:
  • All students and parents must complete and turn in a AUP or Technology Agreement. You can obtain one below or from the HS Office.
  • All students and parents must complete and turn in a Chromebook Agreement. You can obtain one below or from the HS Office.
  • Each student 7-12 will have access to a Chromebook during each school day.
  • Charging and storage will be available overnight in JH/HS classrooms.
  • The $40 lease fee allows students to take the Chromebook with them for use outside the normal school day.
  • The $40 lease fee also covers one instance of minor damage, such as a broken screen or keyboard, during the school year.  
  • The Chromebooks will be collected in May for maintenance and storage over the summer. The goal is to return the same Chromebook to the student for use following school year.

Chromebook 1:1 Q and A:

  • What happens if I do not pay the lease fee?
    • Students will have access to school technology through the regular school day.  Students will store and charge devices overnight in assigned classroom.
    • Students and Parents will be responsible for any and all damages incurred to school property.
    • Prices may vary, Current replacement costs:
      • Screen: $67
      • Keyboard: $79.99
      • Housing: $27.99-39.99 (depending on part)
      • Case: $36.00
      • Charger: $20.00
      • Chromebook: $239.00
  • If we choose to not pay the fee to bring a Chromebook home, can my child still do their homework?
    • Yes, your child can still complete homework adn assignments.
    • Links to online resources can be obtained from classroom teachers.
    • Just as in the past, if an assignment requires typing or research, your child may still stay for the after-school program and use district devices.
