Dear Van Buren R-1 School District Community,
It is with great pleasure and excitement that I extend a warm welcome to all of you as the Superintendent of the Van Buren R-1 School District. My name is Amy Jackson, and I am incredibly honored to serve in this capacity, bringing with me a deep connection to this district and a genuine dedication to our community.
As a graduate of Van Buren High School myself, I understand the profound impact that our district can have on the lives of its students. This community holds a special place in my heart, as many generations of my family have not only lived in this area but have also graduated from VBHS, including my great-grandmother, Mariam McSpadden, who was in the very first graduating class here in 1922.
As I continue in this role as your Superintendent, I want to assure you that my commitment to the Van Buren R-1 School District is unwavering. Together with our talented and passionate team of educators, administrators, staff, and parents, we will continue to provide a safe, nurturing, and high-quality learning environment for our students.
