Congratulations to Seth Weeks on winning 1st place in the Ozark Border Electric Cooperative Essay Contest. Seth will be among two area high school juniors on the 2023 NRECA Youth Tour. He will travel with over 100 students from Missouri and over 1800 students from across America on a week-long all-expense trip to Washington, D.C.

All of our 8th grade students will be participating in TIMMS testing this Thursday morning. TIMMS measures worldwide trends in math and science and determines how the United States compares to other countries in the world. Attached is their newsletter. VBHS JAG is doing a Clothes-Give Away this Saturday from 8-11 in the Cafeteria. These are brand new clothes that were donated by Wal-Mart in Poplar Bluff. We Have all kinds of items including some shoes. Hope to see everyone tomorrow morning.
Due to incoming severe weather threats this afternoon, the Van Buren R-1 school district will be releasing at 12:10 PM today. There will be no afterschool activities today. Administration will staying in the FEMA if anyone needs to utilize the FEMA building for safety. This afternoon will be AMI (alternative methods of instruction).
